Bio
Dina Turetsky
was born in Minsk, Belarus (former Soviet Union) and grew up in northern Israel. In 1995, she immigrated to USA. She lived in Boston, MA for many years, and recently moved to New York City.
Early on, she developed love of dancing, photography, art, poetry and spiritual healing that she expresses through these creative channels. Growing up in various countries and cultures, she cultivated her own relationship with natural world. In her early 20s, she became a Reiki Master and has constantly been exploring ways to find inner peace, healing, and understanding of interconnectness and power of Love.
Dina's art reflects her inspirations from travels and her unique perception on the beauty of life. It's a passion and meditation (read more on Photo-Meditation) that she has been expanding over the years. Her photography is a means of capturing a certain moment that speaks to the heart as well as the eye whether it be a flower or a moment at an event where hearts and souls connect.

Photo-Meditation
"A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety."
~Ansel Adams
Some photographers would argue that photography is a solo pursuit to get to that perfect shot. Many spend hours in finding that perfection by buying more expensive equipment or reading many forums and books to get inspired. However, they miss the most important point that in this quest for perfection they get consumed by their negative emotions and actually miss that beautiful shot.
Photography and Meditation are very related. In Meditation, we learn to pay attention to the present moment - to stop for a minute and observe our surroundings. We try to let go of the past or future, clean the head of those obscure clouds, and dissolve in the moment. Meditative Photography draws from these concepts. The idea is to enjoy the process, walk through the woods or sit in the garden and pay attention. Your perfect shot will come out naturally as you breath air into it, capturing time standing still.
To deepen this knowledge and photography techniques, I offer photography sessions that are conducted in the nature or in urban setting. Various photography, yoga and meditation techniques will be taught to the students. Please inquire for private or group sessions.
Yoga
ISHTA Yoga
is a unique system of yoga of South African Tantric Yoga Master Alan Finger.
ISHTA is an acronym for the Integrated Sciences of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda. It also is Sanskrit for individual - so ISHTA yoga focusses on the individual, offering students the possibility to truly become comfortable within themselves.
5Rhythms
5Rhythms
is a movement meditation practice devised by
Gabrielle Roth
in the 1960s. It draws from many indigenous and world traditions using tenets of shamanistic, ecstatic, and mystical. It also draws from Gestalt, the human potential movement and transpersonl psychology. Fundamental to the practice is the idea that everything is energy, and moves in waves, patterns and rhythms. It's a practice of a"soul journey" - that by moving the body, releasing the heart, and freeing the mind, one can connect to the essence of the soul, the source of inspiration in which an individual has unlimited possibility and potential.
